OBD2 to OBD1 will this work

Ok well Im just trying to confirmed some information when it come to doing a swap from an OBD2 to an OBD1 I just recently bought a 97 manual Kouki shell w/ no motor and Im planning on buying a complete 91 240sx AUTO w/ all the wiring harness and everything in the motor now my question is can I just swap the motor along w the engine harness and the ECU to the kouki or would I have to switch the Intake manifold, exhaust manifold, distributor, wiring harness ect…… Also will it have to do anything that the Kouki is manual and the 240 is auto will I have to get a 91 240 manual ECU. Thanx

There's no sense in putting a non obd or obd1 in a car that is supposed to have obd2. You'll have to source out an intake manifold, exhaust manifold, cat/downpipe, ecu, main engine wiring harness, and a few other electrical/emissions parts (if you don't already have it) from a 96/97-98 S14. You can work with the S13 KA, but I wouldn't. There are numerous folks on the classifieds forum that are selling Obd2 ka's, so just look there. I actually have a close friend that is selling one at this very moment, so if you want I, just LMK and I'll tell him. Are you socal?

Like I said, you'll need all parts from obd2 S14 if you want to pass emissions. Especially in CA.

Well the thing is that Im located in Laredo TX. and shipping is expensive thats the thing and that the best thing that I've found. I actually have some of those parts Im just trying to see what's the best route I can take by the way I plan on making this my daily driver.

considering you're in TX. I guess the emissions laws if any aren't that strict?. I don't doubt that it'll work, but I don't think the main engine harness from an S13 KA will mate to the dash harness laying within the S14. I dunno if all your functions for dd (i.e. A/C, cruise, heater functions, many other electrical). You could do it, but you're gonna have to do some research. The FSM's are very good sources for your swap. But, like I said before, source out a obd2 intake manifold w/all intact hard vacuum/fuel lines, main engine harness, ecu, dizzy, and that should be it.

I just purchased a 95 shell and swapped everything from a 96 parts car into it. There's some difference, but not much i.e. fuel evap lines and location of charcoal canister. Nonetheless, it was easy. Definitely use the FSM. It is your friend.
