how many QT i should put into the SR20DET RedTop TRanny. Also, what kind of Tranny Fluid i should use? Thank you.

I would not recommend gm syncromesh. The stuff is too thin and caused my transmission to become notchy. I would use redline mt90. The stuff is made for gl4 fluid based transmissions like in the 240sx.

The best answer for this question is GL-4 fluid period, not GL-4, GL-5 compatable, you want GL-4 only. As far as I know Redline MT-90, Sta-Lube and maybe one other manufacturer makes GL-4 tranny fluid.

Do not use GL5 transmission fluid. It will damage the synchros in the Nissan transmission. You need GL4 fluid. Most fluid you buy at autoparts stores is GL5 and of story.
