![]() What is the best LSD for my S13? I've done some research and there are so many out there 1, 1.5, & 2 way. I'm not sure which would be the best for my car.
Any suggestions, help, advice, or experience would be great! Thanx! |

Yes all vlsd's are pretty much a waste of time, iirc the s15 is a helical and not all that bad.
Yeah OS giken is, OS giken, either you know or you don't know. Its what you should dream about.

2-way is a real mans diff i used to daily through canyons to work with a 2 way sometimes in the rain, if you know how to drive its no big deal. you wanna drift get a 2-way. i have a kaaz and i like it, if you cant take the noise then you dont need a 2-way but it is really personal opinion, what brand do you wanna run and what sticker you want on your car

Dangerous? Yeah, only if your driving like an idiot. I've never driven on a 2way before, but I drive my car daily with a welded diff(thanks Flybert, when do you want to meet so you can get my old diff). As long as you don't do stupid shit, it's not going to be dangerous. Open diff is more dangerous, thats my opinion though.

I'm from Okinawa, land of rain. I have a 2 way diff on my only car and I don't have any problems except the rear slipping when I move from a stop at a traffic light or stop sign. It's the fuckin rain man, come on. Any car that is using tires designed for dry tarmac is going to have problems maintaining traction at a high speed in the wet. |

i have a nismo 2way for dd. love it. loud as hell, but o wells. like every1 says... it's all dependent on the way you drive and what you want to do. if you are going to daily/weekend track (not drift), get 1.5 way. if you are solely going to hardcore track or drift, 2 way ftw. good luck with your decision... either way you go, the car will feel much better.

Eh 2-ways are not dangerous at all. I've never lost control due to my 2 way. I run a Kaaz and I don't notice any noises from the diff like others seem to claim. Only thing that is noticeable is an increased tire wear and chirping around tight turns. Nothing too bad and rain performance is all based around the tire, imo.
