Make sure all wires are connected firmly and not touching anything else. But i wouldnt think it would cause for it not to start.

So when you put the key in and turn it, does it make a sound at all?
Does it try to crank and turn over?

Post step by step to get further with this.

If it's still glowing 4 hours later, maybe it killed your battery. Is it turning over at all?
