Kouki 180sx front...two-tone?

I haven't seen this as far as I remember. I searched and...nothing.

I've always wanted kouki 180 front, and now that VS has replica, I'll go that route eventually.

However I REALLY want to do two tone white pearl over champagne.

The question is, has anyone done this? How does it look? Pics?

Or am I going ?

only problem is the bumper is rounded

No, have it go all the way. Just use the top of the opening in the bumper as your cut off point.

it would look much better with either a silvia front end or differnt aero. that just doesn't work in my eyes. a year or two ago I was looking to find aero for the popup front end that would accomodate two-tone, and I never found anything satisfactory. besides, proportion wise I think the popup front end looks better on the hatches, it looks too long on coupes.

I like looong front ends. It's a characteristic of RWD cars.

My thoughts on it are that the kouki aero's shapes and curves are way too modern for a two tone.

I just love two tone though. Who knows. Maybe I'll be the first to do it (in like 2010 )

i think if it where cut off a the vent opening its would maybe look better. maybe just have the color bleed onto the lip but not the whole front area.....

I think this is more what you are looking for. I added the black strip because it seems to make or break two tones. I guess the next "real" issue would be, what to do with the strip in the front. Whatever though, here's your picture:

Yea that's the hard part. I think the black strip makes the TT's too. This might be dead in the water, but it was a good idea.

was the lip on the type-x a factory option for the type-x, or was it standard with every one of them? also, is there any difference between the kouki front bumper, and the front bumper found on the type-x? or were you just correcting him in the way that a type-x is an entire car, while kouki is the style of bumper. ....if that makes any sense. lol

Type X is a trim level. Like K's. All Kouki's have the same front bumper. The lip is an option. I'm not 100% sure if the lip was standard on Type X models.
