Oil pressure gauge burn out ecu on redtop sr20?

I had to move around some stuff in my center console which included taking out an oil pressure gauge. The wires were all yellow so I put different color tapes on them but I lost the notebook where I wrote down whats what and long story short my first guess was wrong... I coulda sworn I smellt a burnt smell inside the car when I cranked it... Keeps cranking but wont start. Pulled out one of the spark plugs, no spark. I open up the ecu its burnt. Now I just got a loner ecu that works supposedly but will dump a lot of fuel I tried that ... nothing. So I go ahead and buy an ecu off of ebay that the guy listed for a 5 speed with a pic of a #62 ecu he sends me a 63. I read somewhere that #62 is 5 speed and #63 is auto. Question number 1 is can I use code #63 in my car? What effect will it have?
Question 2 is, i have tried 3 different ecus and the car still keeps cranking, doesnt start. Anyone have any ideas what else it could be? I think Im getting fuel cuz I let my friend smell the exhaust as I was cranking it and he says he smells a hint of guess back there... Thank you in advance!
