Before I go out and buy a new strut top, does anyone know where I might pick up a stud?

I just need one stud, the kind that presses into the strut topper.
I've tried pounding one out with a sledge, checked out a few autoparts stores and a bolt specific shop and even a wrecking yard. They couldn't figure out how to get one out either.
