DorkiDori Accessories...need input

im getting my parts and clothing line under way right now...theres alot of stuff i want to offer to you guys and the 240 community...but here is your chance to have a say in what products are made

im currently working on a load of parts and new shirts...the parts include shift boots, gauge overlays, door inserts (s13 people should get a kick outta this a bit...especially zenki owners), glove box coverings plus center console coverings and shirts shirts shirts galore

enough about all that though...this is where you come in...currently im in a quandry about what color shirts to produce...the main company colors are black, magenta and white....magenta being primary

i would like YOUR input on what other colors i should offer...metallics, flat colors etc...i would like your ideas on color choices (all will be done on black shirts)

so with all that said...here are a few design ideas im working with...input is welcome

heres a demo tach i worked up the other night...the numbers and RPM slahes will change in the final product (the vendor im working with right now uses the stock number and indicator slashes...so youll retain your oem numbers and such)

new DorkiDori Work VS Shirt

for other designs im currently offering, please check out my group buy (not trying to sell ne one on it...i just want input)

http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=162940

so input away...and please keep the flaming to a minimum...im looking for constructive input...not blatant insults

i guess it looks okay, but the design is really busy. especially for the tach. i think i would have a seizure looking at that. maybe on th tach, make the redline area pink and the outer ring white.

the tach numbers and slashes (the marks that represent x1000)...those will all be like your stock clusters...the overlays will only effect the black area of the gauge...the numbers and such will be illuminated in your OEM colors and what not

Super busy PINK tach = not cool

Not so busy in different colors might work.

very cool art, but I have to agree it's alil too busy... try making that center bat/skull one solid color, and I'd add gray and maybe a brown as selections for primary colors too they always look nice

Like has been said, its too busy for a tach. I like the theme and colour scheme though, so I look foward to the final designs! Particularly the shift boots

That's some pretty cool stuff. Definately on the more original side for this type of clothing. That said, you need some Zenki S14 theme'd stuffs

well...update with the tach/speedo idea...ive been disussing the idea with my screen printer vendor...he informed that i can infact screen print transparent inks to clear plastics...so i can actually make pink illuminated gauge replacements (or whatever color i decide to do them in)...also i will tone down the graphics on them a bit...ive been looking at the design all day and just thinkin its a bit much

but all in all...im stoked...w00t lol

also...thanks for the input guys...i do really appreciate it all...grey does seem to get mentioned a bit so thats a deffinate color...purple has been brought up a few times as well...so that is a good one to go with as well

again...keep on with the feedback...im going to try to bring stuff out that appeals to alot of people...cant all happen at once...but it will get there

Yea thats probably the best wa to do it. My machine was like 4k. But it has a heat press. You should prolly get one with a heat press so you can print foil stuff.

The tach looks like something straight out of NFS. I don't think it'll sell to the 240 community. I think ricers and NOPI show car owners would be interested. Like everyone has already mentioned, it's a cluster fuck and too bold. It takes way too much away from the readability and functionality. How is the gauge going to be illuminated at night? Since you'll be using clear plastic, will the whole gauge be lit? I'd want to keep my gauges simple.

The shirts are okay. Not my cup of tea design wise with the skull/tribal theme. They look like rock band shirts more than anything. I don't like black shirts in general so I would never buy a shirt. Why only black shirts? Again, I don't think it'll be too popular to the 240 community with most being JDM tyte. I think the shirts would be more appealing if you worked more on the design and placement.

I'm interested to see your center console and door card ideas.

Just isn't my style.

Yea. your best bet is to get into a market to where you will have a steady income so the machine will pay for itself. Unless you are selling alot of your shirts than thats cool. But I would make band shirts and stuff like they. They always need shirts to be printed
