Hi,
My sister saw a 1990 black hatchback on the side of the road on the way to church one week, and her and my mom stopped to check it out because my sister's been looking into buying a car. It is a 1990 black 5sp hatch 156k on the odometer, new engine (sohc - they are selling the car for their nephew and don't have the records, but they said he does). drives really smooth clutch and tranny feels good. no sunroof power windows/locks paint is in ok shape crack in front bumper fist-sized dent in rear. power antenna doesnt work car is very dirty but only one rip in driver's seat. teardrop rims with newer tires. popups and everything else seem to work fine. only a few tiny rust spots under the hatch. doesnt seem to leak though. they are asking $1750. I think it's a good deal, any comments?? also, could someone run a vin w/ carfax? Thanks, Todd JN1HS36P8LW111614

Hmm...
What do you supposed the Exceeds Mechanical Limits title means? It is at 156k now... could it just be a mistake of some sort? I know my old MR2 had one because when we got the title we told them the wrong mileage by accident...

from what I read, it could be a mechanical limit on the odometer, but as you say it reads 156k, in which case, I don't know what it could mean.  You might want to ask the owner/seller, they should know.
