![]() I am getting a brand spankin' new electronic speedometer from my nissan dealership for only $250. Many places I was asking about fixing it wanted to charge $250 the cheapest. So I opted for a new one with a warranty.

I got a new HUD cluster and just plugged it in, and my HUD magically started working. If your cluster speedo isn't working, the HUD isn't going to.
I paid like 40 bucks for the whole cluster, including a spare HUD unit and harness, which I then sold for around 30 bucks with my broken stock cluster. So I guess the net cost was around 10 bucks. pretty good. |

It is common for the Digital Clusters to break and stop working.
Easiest thing to do is get another one. JDM ones will work just fine by plugging them into existing Cluster's location, provided that the JDM one works. ![]() Some people on FA have found success in taking a bottle of electronics cleaner to the circuit boards in the cluster. You can also try looking on the boards for fried capacitors, etc and try to fix them if you're competent at soldering. Good luck |

the HUD cluster on my 90 wasn't working when I bought the car. It would go on and off. I pulled it and looked at the back, someone already tried to repair it. There were bypass wires soldered on that came off. I replaced it with one that was not from California (missing check engine light), but it worked. My father repaired my original one, but I have yet to test it out.
So what I am trying to say is, pull your cluster out and look at the back. Usually it is repairable. You should see where the connections burned out. |
