been a member of the site for quite some time now...rarely post but its all good. figured i'd post a build thread for my car and get some opinions from everyone....i finished the car exactly 1 year from the purchase date which was kinda weird lol...all of it was done in a 2 car garage by 3 people who have decent car knowledge, less body work knowledge, and alot less common knowledge lol.... car will be undergoing serious reconstruction soon...new wheels, motor, paint, etc. Fun car to mess around in, but looking for more power...

so it started off when i won my car off ebay....

then came the front end conversion....

gettin ready for the swap....same day i brought the car home lol

and ordered this

1st front end on.....

decided to go with a 5 lug swap

threw the exhaust and test pipe on

decided that this blue was not for me and the engine wasnt clean enough after wire tucking a rotary and making it look good so....it had to get redone as well....

next i decided that i really didnt like this front end at all either so i took it off as well and prepped the body for paint

gave the motor a nice lil cleaning...and of course a few new goodies

halfway back in the car

after waiting 3 months for my kit that was supposed to be shipped out in 2 weeks it FINALLY arrived...which is mainly what had taken so long. I get home from school and goto open the box and this is what i find....

anyone who knows me and how anal I've been about my whole buildup knows very well that that is not the version select bumper I ordered. I call the guy and go at it w/ him bla bla bla he wont refund said he told me he couldn't get version select bumper, but would send me a similar style... :roll: Needless to say that never happened and you all can be the judge of the similar style he sent compared to the actual version select bumper. Least he sent the right sideskirts and rear bumper.

Almost got the front bumper on...a lil bit more trimming and then time to bolt it on

Finally got the new kicks in as well....

Wheel specs are 17x9 all the way around with a +22 offset for those interested

got the car in the garage and on jackstands awaiting paint....

resprayed the valve cover as well and made a spark plug cover also.

after buffing and right before front bumper went on....

thats pretty much the whole build up process on it...not to bad for 3 ppl who didn't have major experience...no where near perfect...many flaws in the paint, buff job, still needs window trim...etc. but its a start at least.

here are some of the more recent pics i had taken by a few local friends. no editing done and show the actual color of the paint quite well with the 1st being with light, and the 2nd the color it is in a dull/outcast day

and with a lil editing...
