ok, this is weird...  my car was running fine until a couple days ago, i put her in reverse, then while going through neutral to get to first gear, my car stalled.  i didn't think anything of it then, but it's happening more and more frequently... i really don't know what's up...  

i have a 96, btw.

do you have intake?? make sure you check that its in there tight.... cause mine was lose and my car did the same thing...

naw, all i have is the stock intake.  any other ideas on what could be wrong?

Same thing...  vacuum leaks.

Start with the numerous valves at the back of the intake, they can get stuck and cause problems.  Also as SR240DET said check the intake tubing for loose connections or cracks.
