s14 brake lights

my brake lights are staying on for some reason. im not pressing on the brakes at all and they stay on while my car is off. one friend recommended that i bleed the brakes because the pressure is what might be causing the sensor to think im stepping on the brake

please help!!!!

There is a little plastic stopper in your brake pedal which pushes the switch to turn the lights off. Look on your floorboard for plastic pieces. Go to the dealership and get a new stopper for the pedal, its like a dollar. Pop it in and you're done. All my s13s did it, my s14 hasn't yet.

Rear brake lights or the brake light on the dash?

Check the brake light switch. You may have to adjust the switch position, or the switch is broken.

Also check for broken wires shorting out.
