Aftermarket seats for the bigger guy ????

i tried to search but could find anything.
I had just ordered a set of corbeau cr1 racing seats for my 97 240 a week ago. the wide version because im a 42" waist.

i just got a call today almost a week later, from corbeau saying that the cr1 seats wont fit due to the year/make/model of the car and that i should try A4 seats. I said okay but i need the wide version. They said that NO wide version seats will fit in a 97 240. I then tried to see if the bride XAX would work since they have little or no bolsters i called tee-usa.com and they said that there arent any brides that will fit 40-42" waist. the sparco torinos dont fit, way too tight.

so my question is this. what are the bigger guys using for racing seats
if corbeau wide verison seats dont fit, and there are no bride seats that fit 40+ wasist.

I really wanted racing seats rather then just wrapping the interior.

so any advice or any info on what the 40" or bigger waist guys are using for racing seats would be great.

OOHHH and dont say loose the weight... im already on a diet LOL

Did you try the sparco evo 3. It is made for guys over 250lbs.

http://www.sparcousa.com/pseats_comp.asp?id=551

Sillydrift has a Sparco evo 2 seat and said he was looking to move to an evo 3 seat not sure if he did though. Just for info, Nams super low rails work with the evo 2 also not sure about the evo3

you would find more room in a RHD car. the tranny tunnel is actually off center a little, and you have more width for a seat on the right side.

Another option is to get Kirkeys and thin out the padding if necessary.

Could always go r33 seats. Slight rail mod and they will fit. 350z or s15 seats fit "BIG" people.

Corbeau Forza 2.

and fyi, i've seen plenty racers that would probably have a 42in waist. Just not in F1 or Indy cars. but other forms of racing theres plenty of heavier guys.

Yeah i had a lot of trouble finding a seat that I could fit in. I'm 6'1", roughly 200 lbs. I run, I work out... not fat by any means. I just have large hips...which sucks. Buying pants is a nightmare, as well as finding a good seat that fits nicely.

I've sat in quite a lot of seats, bought a sparco....then sold it after I installed it for a few minutes.

I wound up finding that a recaro speed fit me nice a snug. Not to the point that it would be uncomfortable on long rides, but tight enough that it can hold me in place during some spirited driving.

A Sparco EVO3 will definitely fit you, but I don't think it'll fit in an S14. Thing is seriously big.

An EVO2 might fit you, and they're pretty common used.
