Well... it was thanksgiving evening and i just dropped my brother off at his friends house. so i'm on my way home when i hit the exit the car stalls out on me. so i try to start it while it was rolling and it fires up, revs bounce from 700 to 1200 to 500 to 700 and then the car dies out again. when i tried to start it, it does the same exact thing. no clunking noises or anything too funny sounding. so i end up getting a tow for the rest of the way home.

somebody...anybody... please help. this car is my life and it's how i get to school, work etc. i know a bit about cars, and how this stuff works, but now i really need help to get her back on her feet, err... tires. thank you in advance!

my car had a problem where it would just die, then it wouldn't start for an hour or so, and then it'd start up again... turned out to be the ignition control module. it's a little black pack that is bolted to the side of your coil. it costs like 120 + dollars new, so try to get one or two from a junkyard.....

I thought that my car had died on me too a couple days ago,  I would start it, rpm bounce a little and then dies.  It was just the m.a.p. sensor loose not holding the intake pipe right.  Check that everything is hooked up right before you start buying parts, could be something related to the fuel system.

right on... it was due for a tune up anyways, i had the parts bought already so i'll check out those things today. i thought it could have been that air sensor as well, but it was so dark last night and i didn't have my light with me to check anything. bleh... thanks a lot though
