Teacher, student get into brawl at Ga. school

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) — A substitute teacher and a student at a suburban Atlanta high school have been charged with disorderly conduct after a fight during class that was captured on video.

A school police report about the fight May 23 says teacher Carolyn Jones told officers she had been having problems with the student at Stephenson High School. Jones told police the student had threatened to pull off her wig.

Police say the 53-year-old Jones kicked the student, which prompted the fight.

The student was not identified.

The video was taken by another student and ended up on YouTube. The two are shown slapping, grabbing and punching each other for at least a minute before a staff member breaks them up.

A telephone call to Jones on Friday was not immediately returned.

Besides; "In School Suspension" is some shit they do when they're too puss to actually SUSPEND a child from school, instead corralling them into one place sequestered from the rest of their classes as some form of punishment. Usually, this is done after school, and is manned by the teacher that assigns it (at least in NC that is how it goes, according to this girl I am kinda seeing)... Some form of acting out should have been expected from a student in this particular situation, one might call it a case of the cows coming to pasture.

If only people would take to beating their kids at home, teachers MIGHT not have to.
