Aftermarket Wheel Install

My main concern was how to get the horn to work. Basically NRG tells you to install the steering wheel and then on the copper ring on the back side of the hub that rotates. That you need to take a bobby pin and bend it so that it is always touching the copper plate, and then connect that to your horn wire.

I have a NRG setup, and NRG informs you in their instruction guide to bend a bobby pin so its touching the copper to get a connection!

I thought it was pretty half assed way so I went to Home Depot and picked up:

box of small 1/4 inch rubber grommets. 1.48

1/4" x 1" fine thread bolt and a nut to fit it.

What I did was take the stock steering wheel off. You then from there drill a 3/8" Hole in the steering wheel column support right directly in the center above the steering column. Dont worry your not ruining anything or any mounting points.

From there you need to take your rubber grommet and insert it into this hole. From there take your Bolt and attach a rubber grommet to the end and push it all the way to the top of the bolt.

Then push the bolt through the rubber grommet that is in your steering column support. Once it is through take a 3rd grommet and add it to the end.

After you have done this you need to splice a wire into your horn wire.
