s14 brake light removal

im trying to get my brake light out but there is some gnarly tar like substance that is sealing the light to the body, i have the 4 smaller nuts removed, do i have to take the other larger ones off too? i am pulling on the light pretty hard, but i cant tell if the tar is holding it back ,or if im missing something. thx in advance. nm i got it

There's two M6 nuts, one on either end, then the lens is sealed to the decklid with foam. Press on it from the outside, use a little heat if needed.
