Leaky Injector

I did a search and to my surprise didn't come up with much. I wanted to know which turbos bolt onto the stock S14 SR20 manifold? Does anyone make an upgraded stock turbo?

the HKS GT25 series and i believe one model of the the HKS GT2835 will fit......

also the HKS GT3037 bolts up to a t25 flange... thats if u wanna spend $2k for a turbo

its also the whole internal/external wastegate factor, thats prob why u cant find one

Ballistic concepts makes a SS turbo housing that bolt up for wastegate on turbo and use thier new wheels I think you can get that for the T-25 flange given it is a rather common garett turbo flange also an s-15 T-28 will work I will check into other options tonight and post more info tomorrow <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':alien:'>

You might as well just piece something together if you're going to all that trouble. The kits usually come with piping, and all that, and if you change the mounting point, that's all useless. So basically, you'll be paying a really high price for just a turbo. Why not just get the KMD mani and then pick a turbo/injectors/cams/ecu/etc.?
Oh, and he said the clearance issues depended on the manufacturer. Some get in the way of the master cylinder, others hit the steering rack. Both of those are party stoppers. Eric

I thought the KMD mani put the turbo in the stock location though? which was why it was on the list. trying to keep everything stock location to avoid said clearence issues. oh well it'll be awhile before I dive into that anyway so it gives me time to figure out comp maps and such man I hate math. but it'll probably work out better. I wanna do fuel cams RAS and headgasket before I get to that anyway so I'll probably want to custom build the turbo to compliment all that.

yeah, the KMD mani *does* keep it in the stock location. That's why I was suggesting it as a good idea.
you're going to be pulling the head? are you planning on BIG numbers? i would leave that alone unless you're going for 400+ hp. oh, and if you want that much power, you need a BIG turbo anyway...i don't think any of the bolt-on kits are that big. i think they're designed for around 325-350 hp. Eric

Could you use the OEM SR wastegate actuator for the time being? Will it bolt on? I don't know if it's got the same bolt pattern...you could just make an adapter plate too. That would give you 7 psi, obviously. At 10 psi, that turbo is going to be flowing a LOT more air than your T25...but that doesn't mean it won't work. I think the best thing to do would be to put it in and just watch your 02 readings carefully. If it pings, you could start by getting an adjustable FPR. Raise the base pressure. If not that, get an S-AFC and some 550s...not the cheap route, but it would work. Don't know what else to say. Just try it an tell us <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=' ![]() Eric

I have a good reason for thinking that I just forgot where I got that info from. Here's my plan as of today. Once I install that HKS camp I'll be able to monitor my injector duty cycle. Then I'll go ahead and grab the manny and turbo extension. wow, you really hate the S-AFC...why? I can understand not wanting to tune with it. But using it to adjust the fuel curve for 550s and a Z32 MAFS is child's play from what I hear. It's just an adjustment to the voltage. But whatever.
