i just bought some new ngk plugs...how tight shoud they be???  i'm hand tightening...so i guess....i'm looking for how many turns after it is snug???

When my dad and I changed my plugs I think he said a 3/4 turn after it is hand tight. You just want to be careful not to strip the threads because the head is aluminum and it would be a lot of loot to rethread that thing.

That is the secret, you put a rubber pipe (like the one that attaches O2 sensors over it and let it thread using that, that way if you are cross threaded it will slip in the hose and not strip your head. Then once it is threaded go to hand tight and then to 1/2 -3/4 turn with your wrench and you are all set. Make sure to put some anti-sieze on the spark plug thread just for good measure and you are all set. Good luck.

torque it to 45 lb.ft. with the torque wrench if you want to be picky.
