Altima fan wiring

hey everyone...

i have an altima fan setup in my s13 at the moment....worked for a good while but i noticed the current make the wires very hot (im using 14gauge right now)...so it burned up the connections ive made...im running from the battery to a switch on my dash...most u guys probly know some electronics so u should know how i did that haha...anyways i didnt choose to put them on my ac fan controller because i have no need....my car runns cool enough to not use these fans at all...even while im driving hard...i just use them when its really hot outside as extra help

my question is do u guys know of a way i can wire these up to my switches and keep them from heating up so damn much?
