Strrreet Racinng? Not.

I saw this on another forum:

"This guy I know in Oregon, used to work at a place I worked at about a year ago. Anyway he built this 05 sentra up with a porter polished engine and a T3 turbo that gave him at least 4-500 hp I would say, I forget the parts...

He’s street racing this guy, and so they do the first run, he takes the other guy out, but they both missed the third gear. So the other guy goes: “double or nothing”

So he’s like alright let’s do this again
Now they race again, qtr mile or whatever. This time, he doesn’t miss, takes out the other guy by 5 cars

So now the other guy owes him $1k for two races.

But, at the end of the race they see cop lights. They run, evade, he gets away from the cops, and loses them.

And then, these idiots, decide to meet at some shopping center ‘far away’

And I guess one of them got caught earlier at the place where they were racing and ratted the rest of them out and tells the cop where they are going to be.

Cops show up at that shopping center, impound their cars, give him a ticket for wreck less driving, street racing totaling ~ $1400+ (it says on the ticket)
And the passengers get ticketed for $500 each for being spectators or being part of the scene."

I just thought Id share this here. Why do they do this?! Why put yourself in that place. I don't understand the street racing scene.

Whats a Porter Polished engine? Is that what they call you when you finish an entire bottle of a fine wine by yourself in like 2 seconds? ANd if his horsepower is anywhere between 4 and 500 hp, thats a big difference... Maybe it has 150, maybe it has 450, maybe it has 50... Its hard to tell sometimes.

No one cares. Trying to understand why idiot fucktard kids street race is liking to trying to understand why people huff glue, smoke meth, or drink Mad Dog 20/20. It doesn't matter why they do it, they're stupid, they're ignorant, and hopefully society will end their miserable lives before they injure other people. In the meantime, move on. I agree. That was the reason behind this post. Just because I have a SR in my 240 doesnt mean I should race it on the streets. I like to drive a nice car and enjoy the power I get with it. People like these racers are ruining the image of modded cars and that is one reason I get seriously annoyed by these stories. My car is now a target of the law and whenever I'm driving around I have to be on the lookout while going to work, or to the grocery store. or just crusiing at 45.
