f*cked up again...

ok, this just started happening a few days ago..... everytime i give my car a little gas, its hesitating and it seems like its really struggling because it jerks back and forth..... if i really floor it, it struggles but then it pushes itself again.

what problem could this be? ignition wires? gas line? fuel pump?

Definitely sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Start w/ the cheapest, and probably the easiest--fuel filter. Good luck!!

LMAO. It happens on this forum occasionally. I just take it as a generality that most people on car forums are guys. The times are-a-changin though guys!! Look at me, Irena (S13Grl), Dinkage, and a few other ladies here (sorry I don't remember your screen names yet).

BTW--interesting pic Titan!

Smokin--let us know if the fuel filter helps ya. I'm getting ready to change mine (I'm sure it's a bit clogged after 86k miles--don't know if it's ever been changed).

2nd was the spark plug wires(one of them had a hole in it)

check out the fuel filter definitely, if it needs to be changed, you should notice a big change once it's swapped out. If not, second, check out the MAF, use some electric parts cleaner or some car/ choke cleaner and spray it clean. Then there are obvious others, check out the connections on the fuel pump carriage and then also check your fuel pressure regulator. Depending on where you live and how many miles old the car is, they may be an issue as well.

You may also consider checking the electrical gounding wires in the engine bay. I had a very similar problem and i saw that one of the grounding wires ( on the back right of the cylinder head) had a very shakey connection so i fixed it and the problem was solved, however the car grounds wires in more than one place. Damn i love my car.
