no, not without swapping guts and bellhousing. They are essentially the same tranny but with different shells.

You can use a Z31 tranny, all you have to do is swap the bellhousings and the plugs on the side. Dont let anyone rip you off on swapping the bellhousings. I had a buddy of mine do it for me for $20. Its probably easy, i just dont know tranny's enough to open one up.
