91 240SX Nissan ECU

My ECU shorted out. I am looking to buy a used one, NO. A11-B47 G1O, (27). It is a Calif. car. The used ECU has the same numbers except for the one in the bottom right corner of the green tag. Mine is OX30. What is the significance of this number? Do they need to match?
I would appreciate any help.

Thank you

stands for a 1991 KA24DE Auto ECU
and #27 is from Cali
I used have #27 and now using #29, a Non-Cali KA24DE Auto ECU

for it to work, no it dont have to match
but some minor details might be little different

from what ive heard the only difference between auto and manual ecus is that the auto one does not have a speedlimiter. Never checked this myself so im not sure about this.

That was my original question. I don't think it matters.

back when i had my 240 it was a 5 spd i bought an ecu from an auto at the junkyard... it has a better fuel map and has no speedlimiter allows you to rev to 7k and no stop at 115
well worth it in my opinion and my cel never came on that may have been cuz it was taken but im not completely sure but either way you might as well take yours out unless you really want it

The fuel map is NOT different on an auto ECU. You may think it was, but it's not.

On an S13 you can pretty much use any 91-94 ECU, auto or manual, Federal or California, if it's a manual chassis. Autos of course require an auto ECU.

For S14s you can use any 95-98 ECU but for 97-98 ECUs in a 95 chassis you need to repin for wires, same for swapping the other way, a 95 ECU into a 97-98 chassis.
