Where to find Hex socket-like thingy?
I'll do the best to describe what im looking for. . . my rims have a lugnut that is inverted and i've lost the piece to it. . . or stolen. . . or . . . *shrug*
kind of like this . . . except that instead of going into a socket the non-hex part went into the cross wrench for the normal lugnut and into other guns and stuff =i . . . does this make sense? i've tried sears, and kragen's and pepboys and non have this piece. do i have to special order it?

if you have the gorilla lugs like i also think you have, a 17mm socket will take them off. pretty sure its a 17, maybe 16. 12 point only. i found out the hard way when i lost my key.

i have a set of those from craftsman. they're hex sockets. i needed them to torque some bolts on my acura's ABS unit to spec.
they probably aren't going to do what you want, or be anywhere near that big.

so you are looking for a t-handle with the hex head at the end.. I work at sears and they do carry some, but i doubt it would be large enough for your lug nuts.. What size exactly are you looking for??
Pictures will help also if you can post them up here..

Hell, get a extension and breaker bar at HF while you are there and throw them in the car.

You will have a hard time finding what you want locally. I would order it online. You may be able to pick one up at a Wheel and Tire shop that deals with aftermarket wheels. I bought a set like the one in S14DB's pic at Autozone and use my socket wrench with it to get my lugs off. A breaker bar would work better though.

I ended up buying an allen wrench and just sticking the end of it in a breaker bar when my lug nut tool got stripped.
then my cousin bought me project kics.

Here you go!!!
eBay Motors: HEXAGON TUNER LUG NUT KEYS CAR 3/4" & 13/16" SOCKET 1pc (item 350169983944 end time Mar-01-09 18:30:48 PST) As a side note, these lugnuts/keys used to be referred to as "Sparco style" lug nuts because all the old Sparco racing wheels had narrow lug nut openings and required these particular lug nuts. Nowadays, people just call them "Tuner Style -Hex Lug nuts". You should change out your lug nuts to something else if possible since these lug nuts were prone to getting stripped, and the keys are getting harder to find.
