possibility?

is it possible to do an RB26DETT engine swap into a 91 240sx? ive heard that it is possible and i was wondering if u had to get new engine mounts or anything...

Engine mounts are the least of your worries.

This question and ones like it get asked all the time.

My answer:

1. Anything is possible with enough time, money, and effort.

2. This is one of those things that, if you have to ask how difficult it is, it's probably more than you're equipped to handle.

There's a fairly extensive topic on an rb20det install here .

Check it out, we'll make it worth your while. Keep in mind the information there will be in relation to the RB20 motor (Probably the RB25 as well). The 26 has a much different layout on the exhaust side for it's twin turbos, which is why it is a much more difficult motor swap.

And hey, as always, don't overlook the KA :-)

...or the CA or SR. For the same amount of money you could make a lot more power with either of them than you could by swapping an RB26DETT in.
