Cluster Experiment

So right now Im in the midst of taking apart some clusters and Im going to try something I havent seen. Please let me know if this has already been done.

I will be using as far as I know a lot guys, forgive me here.

AFAIK the JDM digital cluster only reads in KMH. The SOHC cluster that I had [Canadian dont know if the US ones are the same] could switch from KMH to MPH.

Now I have personally been in several S13's with digital clusters where they go up to 199kmh and obviously do not read any higher.
AFAIK IF there was no limiter you could technically and I stress technically; get the car up to 199mph.

The JDM clusters do not have the option to change to MPH from what I have seen up here in the great white North. SO I have decided to swap the digital speedo part of the cluster from my SOHC cluster to my JDM cluster to see if I can still switch to MPH.

Has anybody ever tried this out before? Ive searched but I havent been v. successful trying here or google.

Pics to come a short while later if I am not pzwned...
