car wont start, any ideas

Ok this is weird so check it out. My car has been running fine since I got it about 3 months ago, but then suddenly it started to have a hard time starting.

What I mean is that the starter would turn multiple times before starting and sounding like my battery was dying. Well I put in a brand new battery and the other day I was in Target for only about ten minutes and when I came back out and tried to start my car it would do anything.

I mean nothing at all. The starter wouldnt try to turn or anything, not even a jump made it make a noise this time either, any ideas??? Im just thinking my starter died.

also check your cabe connections. I had the same prob at the beginning of winter and come to find out, the negative battery cable was corroded where it attaches to the battery tray giving no ground to it. It got so bad at the end there that the starter solenoid wouldn't even click. Hope that helps.

does it make any noise when you turn the key? If the car doesnt try to turn over and you hear a click, it probably is your starter. If your lights and radio and everything electronic dont work , could be your alternator. Try taking a wrench or a small hammer and bang on the starter a few times. Then try starting the car. If it starts up fine, its your starter.

I just got done replacing my starter. Try tapping the starter with a hammer or something. Then, try turning it on again. If it turns on keep turning it off and on probably like 5 times and if it doesn't turn on anymore try tapping the starter again to see if it turns on. If it does I'm pretty sure it's the starter.
