Question JWT clutch pedal travel...

JWT clutch plates supposedly have the fulcrum moved so that you have more leverage and pedal effort is still light. But wouldn't that mean there's more pedal travel between fully engaged and fully disengaged? Can anyone with a JWT clutch confirm?

I'm asking this because, if it is so, then there's a much higher chance of grinding and not to mention slower possible shifting correct?
