Ka-t troubleshooting!!!!!!!

ok here's the deal i was driving my car around last week,it was running perfect than all the sudden i pull in the driveway and it start's running like s***!!! I'm not sure why, i popped the hood and the motor was pretty hot,not sure how hot cuz my temp gauge is broken,im just tryin to see what's up with it,did a compression check and only one piston had a normal reading,oil looks good ,and i didn't see no blue smoke indicating that the rings are bad,i took the head gasket off and it doesn't look bad,shoot me ur opinion or just pm me thanks
