Ground Control coilover installation on KYB AGX... Where to cut?

I am trying to install some ground control coilovers.
on the instructions (and i have read on here) that i need to cut something to get them to install right.

when i slip the coilover sleeve over the strut, it doesnt even slide all the way down to the stock spring perch, so im not sure why i have to cut it.

did i miss a step somewhere?

anyone have a picture of a coilover sleeve installed on a set of KYB AGX?
or can someone mark on my picture where i should be cutting?

thanks in advance,
Kelly

figured it out.
you need to cut just about the stock springs perch weld.
i also had to grind down some other parts to get the sleeve to slide over hte bottom part of the shock.
