reminds me of the cel-shaded graphics of capcom's "Auto Modellista" looks nice.

I like to think of cf as more of a squarish patchwork thing.

yeah, I tried that one time, its really hard to outline stuff with a mouse. But it is pretty rewarding to get it done. I will attach my ****ty attempt, here are some links that I found on *gasp* NICO when I was trying to do this.

a vector-based program would really do much nicer than photoshop, etc

lines are much cleaner, etc and everything is *calculated* instead of drawn.

the blue hatch is obviously from a pixel-based program

u can basically do the same with Flash. for the red 180. they have tutorials on how to color with Flash and u get the same results.

I agree... using something like adobe illustrator, which isn't that hard to use, can make really nice cartoony/cel shaded 240's/Silvias/180's... or any other thing

BoA* is Awesome! she's the Queen of Jpop and Kpop... it's like, how does one rock two countries like that? she's awesome! (friend of mine's japanese girlfriend says BoA aint cute, i think she's jealous because a Korean is so famous in Japan, hahaha)

BoA is scarily too powerful in the pop world too fast... i hope she doesn't fade out like Britney Spears! You know, shine really bright all at once then fade out quick, instead of steady constant light... well... i'm getting too deep about pop music

oh, that's not a 240 up there, it's a Silvia, but it's a great drawing!

u guys got it all wrong..BoA Kwan is my GF!! stay away young fools. haha yea Chokets is pretty much right. she was rockin that **** since 15!! and shes now 17! she sings in japanese/chinese/english as well as korean. man she aint gonna fade out like the spears girl. spears faded out on like her 2nd album. Boa has like 4-5 albums out already and still going strong. again stay away people! [holding a gun]

Bbandit: ur drawing is pretty damn good. ima try this later and see wat i get. later as in this weekend that is haha

I'm gonna try to make my signature into the "cartoon" look. I'll post as soon as i'm done.

OH and guys, don't try to draw straight lines with a mouse. It's nearly impossible. Use the pen tool! It's maybe the most useful tool in photoshop. It's hard, but when you start getting it down there's no limit to what you can do.

wow...i really like how you did the preludes left headlight. Looks real nice. And that integra looks really good. especially impresseive that you didn't use the pen tool. Good job. I'm still working on mine.............it's my first one and i'm in the middle of it. NOw that i'm getting more used to it, I know a lot more things i COULD have done. I've passed the point of no return so I guess I'm just gonna finish it off...

Yeah, the pen tool rules for this stuff, especially on the shadows and highlights that you cant fill in with the paint bucket. And as you can tell by my feable attempt, I cannot draw circles for **** in photoshop. The car I used had kouki/type x/ whatever-the-hell tail lights on it, but I couldnt get the circle parts to look right. Oh, and I think Bbandit may have figured it out

, but on super complicated parts you can cheat and use the cutout filter

Result. Much better IMO. You can tell I spent a bit more time on this one. I think I have the hang of it now.
