Out of the 240 game for a while

Traded my jaded S14 for a CD6 Accord yesterday. Yup, a Honda. Don't fret, I'm not abandoning the S-chassis, I just need a change of pace after owning four S13s and three S14s.

LOL. It's definitely an interesting experience. The ECU is tuned, so when it hit VTEC the first time, it kinda caught me off guard haha.

Also, haven't gotten accustomed to the gear ratios yet, and I'm still trying to fight driving it like my KA (shifting at like 2500RPM).

Wow you shifted your KA at 2500 RPM lol no wonder you felt it sucked. LOL Seriously you could have shifted your KA at 5k hahahhaha you can shift that Honda at like 7k easily lol . lol. I would have gone for an M3, but everyone here is a bunch of lowballing fucks. Some guy offered me $2k for the car. It was all I could do not to tell him to shove that $2k up his ass.

I was just tired of the dumb ass little problems with the car that nobody I've talked to even had a clue what was up. Plus, the guy I traded it to is on a local forum, so I'll likely get the car back some time in the future. The cars on that website tend to become whores. Luckily, only a few people have had the chance to molest the car since it was new.

Plus, the car always smelled like gas inside (I think I cracked the plastic fuel pump cover thing), the carpet was in TERRIBLE shape (I'll post a pic of it), the gauge cluster was fucked, the A/C blew up, the frame was tweaked...

wow an H22? why put a prelude engine in? Its hard to find alot of parts for them.. well from where I am my buddy had a shit hard time finding anything and I told him to go with a K20 swap. Im not to knowledged on the honda engines but still from what we've looked for, its hard to find lots of specific parts and mostly universal was the way to go.. oh well enjoy the road ahead and the understeer :P

lol. Canada? I dunno what the market is like up there. There's a ton of H22 parts, but I'm not gonna do a whole lot to it. After all, it is a daily driver, and it's fun enough to drive as it is.

If you'd been around more than 60+ days, you would have seen that he's had numerous problems w/his car.
For a while you were the king of tech forum threads, I really felt bad for you b/c nothing ever seemed to work out for you. Just enjoy the honda for a while, and when you ready for another s chasis just keep it for a reliable DD.

LOL. It's actually pretty funny, because once I got the little bugs worked out of the mechanical aspects of the car, she ran great. Also, it seemed like the problems that I was having with the car were all related, and once I fixed one thing, a bunch of problems went away. Oh, and the cooling system... fuck the KA. Such an assbackwards design. I love that car though. After all we've been through, it took a lot to get rid of it... but I know it's in good hands, and that it's still hanging around locally. I couldn't sell it to someone in SoCal who's going to rip it apart and drift it til there's nothing left of the chassis.

But yeah, the car gave me a lot of problems last year.... but then again it had 163k+ miles, and it was about time for those things to give (fuel pump, oil pressure sender, here and there kinda shit).

As far as problems lately, getting the cooling system bled out was the only real thing I've had to deal with.

Eh. Neither car is complete, in my honest opinion. Both have their ups and downs.

My S14 had a lot of personality to me. We understood each other pretty well, as crazy as that sounds. I scratch it's back, it scratched mine.

Coming from bone stock with that dent in the quarter, to what it is today, it's come a long way.
