what's the upper timing chain covers, and is there a performance difference between the 2 types of heads. Is the swap hard to do? If possible pics would be nice...Thanks Jeff in advance

ok...so I did some more rereacrch about the compatibility of the s13 and the s14 head. This is some of the stuff that I found:
"To answer the question, there ARE differences. The 91-94 head is milled for a different valve cover, with different size threads and placement of the bolts. Another critical difference is the 91-94 heads do not have the bolt hole tapped behind the upper timing cover where the distributor meets up in the same place as the 95-98, so using a an earlier head will cause an oil leak if that's not sealed. Sunbelt Motors showed me that trick. " Ace- I know you did the head swap before, I was wondering if you had any problems with this or anything thing else during the swap, could you feel a difference in performance???

The bolt hole behind the distributor doesn't really matter. Didn't leak for me, at least. Like I said, only 1 bolt didn't line up, and it wasn't a very important bolt. The upper timing chain cover is the front cover. It's what the distributor mounts up to.
