Power Locks Unlock When Door Shuts?

I searched around, couldn't really find anything specific to my situation but.. My power locks seem to work fine, i can lock and unlock with the drivers' side lock and the passenger unlocks and locks fine, but as soon as i shut the door, i can see the locks unlock themselves again.. idk i can make sense of it. Anyone ran into this problem?

what george said,

with 240's when u close your door,
you have to lift up the handle and shut it,

unless you have an alarm to do so.

My '90 hatch doesn't do that. It's power everything.
My '93 coupe doesn't do that. Manual everything.

But... my brother's '90 hatch does it. It's got manual everything too.

Weird. I've never figured out the pattern of which ones have it, and which don't.

My 92 Coupe w/ power everything doesn't require you to lift the handle. Come to think, my old 92 hatch will manual everything was the same way.

whoa!! my old high school shop teacher said it was an old japanese car thing. but i had to lift the handle on my 89 hatch with power everything. had to do it again with my old 91 hatch with manual locks. but now i dont have to hold up handle on my 90 coupe with power everything. but i still make sure its locked cuz there are some shady bitches out there.
