cam timing

My car has been running like a turtle, the idle is good but whenever i drive, it gets real loud at about 3k rpms as if i was in 5-6k rpms. It goes nowhere, acceleration stops at about 3k rpms. Do not think this is ur typical maf problem because i can rev past 3k rpms, it is just real loud and no bucking is involved.

I tried just about everything:
-differnt maf
-fuel filter and fuel pump
-distributor and plugs and wires
-ignition timing
-knock sensor
-checked grounds
-coolant temp sensor
-o2 sensor
-tps adjustment
-check for blocked cat exhaust system

I know a stock 240 is not that quick but i think if u would test drive my car, you would know what i am talkin about.

In conclusion, the only thing left to check is my cam timing. i did some search here and there and found a guy had the same problems where it turned out his lower timing chain was not timed properly. How do i go about checking my cam timing?...do i just set the car to TDC and pop the valve cover and front cover to check if the links and dots match up?...can somebody help me out here?

I am no mechanic and i m willing to pay if u can give me a hand checking this because i dont want to mess something up. I live in the rockville area, in maryland.

Or if u can give me some hints on how to check cam timing would be great. i ve read multiple threads and i got the JWT cam timing installation tutorial but they assumed i m just changing cams where the timing is correct. i read the fsm it says if i wanna mess around with the lower timing chain i gotta take the oil pan off, is this true?. give me some hints or hit me up if u live around the area.
thanks

This is 95 240sx kade
