Question KA smokes

I just bought a 95 240 with KA motor 130k miles. It runs fine, but it starts to smoke a idle could this be the valve seals. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Only smokes at idle?? Could be valve seals or a piston oil ring or even a headgasket leak. Is it white smoke? Blue smoke? Black smoke??

my guess is you're burning off coolant. Check your coolant levels lately?? If it is the coolant, it's most likely a leaky headgasket.

white smoke is usually coolant, make sure its not thick steam. If it is coolant the smoke will be very very thick and likely your engine wont run well at all. If its only at idle thats bizarre. Keep an eye on it and get a pressure test on the coolant system if need be
