Warped t2 flange???

Hey guys i was over at my friend's shop and someone over there noticed the flange on the exhaust housing is slightly warped. We put a straight edge on it and it appears he was right. Its slightly warped.

Oh and a little background on whats going on. This weekend the gasket between the manifold and turbo blew so i had to take it all apart and was going to have the exhaust housing coated and thats when we noticed.

I guess im going to have it milled, which means more downtime but is this normal to happen on cast iron???
