s14 sr idle/ spitting problem.

okay so i have a s14 sr and im trying to get it running smoothly. im pretty sure i have a vaccuum leak somewhere or one isnt hooked up correctly. when im idling the boost gauge reads zero but as soon as i give it a little gas it drops into vacuumm until i accelerate into boost. there are two little vaccuum ports coming out of the intake manifold right under the throttle body that are plugged and i was wondering if anyone knew if they should be or what? im running no blow off valve currently with a front mount setup and the idle jumps around like crazy and sometimes stalls. im also running a z32 maf which is hooked up in my cold pipe instead of on the intake. any ideas or does anyone have a vacuum diagram for an s14 sr?

On mine one of those goes to my blow off valve and one goes to a boost solenoid but it could because of the z32 maf, have you done a tune on your car.

First of all, boost gauge should not read "0" at idle, it should read vacuum. Trace the boost gauge vacuum hose, you hooked up to the wrong vacuum port on the motor.

2nd, your MAF on cold pipe is setup as a blow through setup. We do not recommend doing this setup you should change back to the old fashion way by putting the maf after the intake and before the turbo for drivability reasons.

3rd, you need to make sure your SAFC has the correct setting for the Z32 MAF's.

thanks for the help. yeah im having trouble hooking up my vacuum hoses on my motor. my s13 sr was hooked up all right but this one obviously isnt and i didnt pay enough attention to how it was. what port should the wastegate be hooked up to? and i have my boost gauge teed off my wastegate vacuum line. is that right? can anyone point me in the right direction of how to properly route the vacuum lines? like i said i have the two vacuum nipples under the throttle body that are both capped off currently.

Boots gauge vacuum hose should not be the same "T" as the wastegate, to be clear you need to take photo of your current hose setup.
