need help with master clutch pushrod..

Okay, i did a search (i read about 18 full threads that where dead ends)
First off, I replaced master and slave cylinders, removed dampner box, bent hardline on sunday...bled lines, went perfectly...

well something happened that i didnt think was a problem, but seems to be coming back to haunt me..

when i removed the master cylinder pushrod from clutch pedal, there is a small pin through a bigger pin that holds the pedal and pushrod together....well there was this **little black plastic spacer/washer thing** that went on one end of the bigger pin that fell out.....i MUST have messed this up, because there is alot of play on connection between pushrod and pedal now..this is causing some noise when i press clutch pedal in while driving....does anyone have a clue where this little black spacer is supposed to go, i put it on the outside of the pedal, where the small pin seals the connection..
i hope someone understands this.....
