is this s13 or s14? I know in a s13, there are two sets of power (blue/red), remote (blue, iirc), and something else. If one of them doesn't work try the other. I grounded mine to a screw near the shifter.

My headunit in my 95' is using the harness power. The ground is to a bolt on that metal framing back there also.

Best place to ground it is probably the metal frame back there. It runs accross under the dash and bolts to the floor in 2 places near the center.
For power, I drilled a hole in the firewall back behind where the passengers feet would be. Near where the AC lines come through. Seemed to work well for me. Just make sure to put a grommet or something in so you dont scrape the wire and short it out. Also, be sure to put a fuse inline with the power wire.
