Problem is that i need to fix it the pass a saftey 'leagally.' Now does anybody know where i might beable to locate a supplier that makes'em or am i going to have to bend up a newe set. I Know i could got to the junkers and cut a set off, but problem is finding ones that are in good shape.

Sh*t man, I got the same problem. My car looks mint outside, but behind the door and right in front of the rear wheels on the very bottom of the rear quarter panels I have very bad rust. One side is soo bad that if I stand next to my car on the side and look down into the bottom of the wheel well, I can see through the wheel well through a rusty hole. And when I wash my car that spot peels layers of dead metal, I eventually poked my finger though the panel. I sprayed it with wd-40 for now just to maybe slow down the rust growth till I get it repaired/paint job...but I have no money so i gots to wait.

My 240 is totally rust free although my last car had the same problem

try going to a body shop and seeing what it will cost you. They can be "rebuilt"

that or try to mask the holes with some peel and stick louvers and vents like the honda kids use.

and get your car oilsprayed yearly, its very very good investment.

whatever you do, if you plan to keep the car do it right or else the rust will come back

best of luck

ok, well i went buck wild with the sandblaster today (car's sea-foam green, er, um was)and blew the one on the drivers-side apart, i'm going to go to the wreckers and cut the peices off, flange it and weld them on to the prom-dress wonder.
I figure it doesn't need to be perfect cause my skirts will cover it, but it needs to be fixed to pass the safty. I'm still ganna try and bend up a set, cause it seems to be a common problem on the older 240's.
