Exclamation oil pan gasket problem

..ok i did something really stupid...when hooked up my catch tank i connected it to my valve cover and with that little box on the crank case (hidden in the intake manifold runners) i was under the impression i was supposed to do this...i didnt read the directions. i wondered how the gases would vent.(i know how it works now)

after i hooked it up i drove around the block and i got to a stop sign andi reved my motor to take off and a huge plume of black and blue smoke came from my exhaust..i was like aaawwwww shiet...drove home left car runnin still puttin out blue smoke..looked under the car and it look as if oil had been sprayed on my motor..i assume its my oil pan gasket...i looked..im pretty sure it is

i disconnected the tube from the valve cover and..pppsssshhhhhhhh out comes hot air..awww crap after i removed it i reved the engine to see if the smoke was still blue...nope it was fine

now my problem is..other then my oil pan gasket what else coud have gone bad..my head gasket is fine...valve seals??

i knooowww im a dumb *** but uuuhhhhh...am i screwd i didnt blow my rings did i..it doesnt smoke anymore

damn i stupid!!

it seemsd like that you should be fine now, after replacing the oil pan gasket. if it is not smoking anymore than it wouldnt be your rings or valve seals. just my 2 cents.

make sure that you have all the hoses correct and that you have no vacuum leaks. if you spray like carb cleaner or something over where the vacuum lines are and if you get a change in idle then you have a leak.
