![]() Ok, I've been looking for lightwieght composite doors for my s13 for a while now and haven't found much. The only ones i've found are the frp ones from TBO. Supposedly ososlow on FA can get some carbon ones, but I haven't contacted him yet. I have pretty much hit a wall in terms of information at this point.
If anyone has any leads it would be greatly apprciated. I don't care if they are fiberglass or carbon since they would be painted anyways. I remember there being a web site for a s14 that was powered by a supra engine, if I'm not mistaken, and they sold carbon doors; but, I can no longer find it. Thanks Eddie Yes, these would be for a track car so don't give me crap that I'll be t-boned and die. |

I'm really suprised that there aren't a bunch available.
I figured that there would be lots of kids in japan building light track cars that would want them. Damn I love icecream. Sorry, I have a big tasty bowl of it in front of me and I couldn't help myself. Eddie |

I have about 30'x40" of carbon fiber and the epoxy to go with it. I have lots of CF experience, but have never made doors for the S14, so I don't have the mold made up yet.
How much were you looking to spend, and who else would be interested in this? |

WOOT WOOT. It seems that HPI makes carbon doors for the ps13 now.
But, they're not listed on their site. Oh well, email time. "How much were you looking to spend" I don't really have a price in mind, I'm just doing research and weighing my options. Again, like I said it doesn't have to be carbon, just light. I'll look into the STILL WAY FRP doors also. This rules. I was kind of under the impression that Importfan's stuff wasn't the greatest. Now this is just what I've heard, because of that I was kind of avoiding them. I don't want to deal with fitment issues. Dessert owns all................thanks everyone. ![]() |

Yeah, I found STILL WAY's site and was pretty bummed that nothing is listed. I'll shoot them an email and see what happens.
I already got a response from HPI, and they do have carbon doors. I'm still waiting for a price though. When I get all my info together I'll add it all to this thread. Hopefully some of it might be useful to someone else in the future. Thanks, Eddie |

I started out as a laborer at 5'8" 150lbs and 6% body fat (they measured it in my strength training class) I have worked there three months and now weight 163 with 5% body fat. Constructions is one of the best jobs to have when you are young and heal fast. Oh yeah Your wife will appreciate it also when you need to fix your beat-up house! ![]() |

Anyways, If you're building a track car, more power to you. Just keep in mind that your rollcage HAS to have side intrusion bars. If you're planning on running these doors without a full (and I mean FULL) cage, then you have a death wish. Especially on the street. |

This car will end up being a track whore and will see very little, if no, time on the street. Right now I'm in the process of looking for a suitable hauler to pull a trailer. That way I won't have any problems getting this thing around once I start really tearing into it.
With that being said, I fully comprehend the necessity of a very robust cage. I have no desire to kill myself; safety will be paramount. RPS13: Thanks for the link. I just checked their site recently and the english section wasn't up yet. I have already contacted HPI and recieved the information I needed. Now I'm just waiting for my catalog. ![]() |
