Nissan rear dif. gear ratios
I was wondering what different gear ratios in limited slip differentials nissan has employed in their sports cars like the skyline,Z car, and the 240sx/silvia (past thru present)? and if anyone knows, also the possible hp tolerances of each. a legitimate tech web page would be great.

To elaborate:
Q45 does have R230, but I believe it's the 3.69 ratio, same as the Z32 TT (they share rear diff, subframe, etc...and it DOES NOT bolt into the S-chassis) J30 comes with 3.916 ratio, R200V 300ZX: N/A = R200V, 4.083 ratio, same as S13/14... Z32 TT = 3.69 - see above 240SX comes with 4.083, either VLSD or open 180SX from Japan came with 4.083 and 4.36, both in an R200V case Nissan Motorsports offers a 3.7, 4.36 upgrade and a 4.64 upgrade for the R200(V)... Not trying to be argumentative, but to clarify this point:
- - 1997 Q45 specs - - - - 2001 Q45 specs - - Maybe they were different in years before 1997...Infiniti did do a lot of redesign then. And it seems maybe those were Touring models - I could see how the regular Q45 would have a numerically higher ratio. Later- Brian |
