Anyone know where I can find computer chip for a 96 s14? Or do I really need one?

Try JWT. Jim Wolf Technology. They make them.

Oh, and do you need one - for a stock motor? Maybe with bolt-ons? no. Wait until you get cams or internal engine work... or a turbo.
