GT2871R vs GT2876r
Hi i have s13 sr20det motor. Im in looking for a turbo capable of making 400-450 (the more the merrier) hp safely with minimal spool time. I have heard that the 71r exducer will allow me to spool faster than the 76 but how signifcant is this difference? a few hundred rpms? is that really going to effect me much? Im also planning the match this turbo with sard 850cc injectors and either 264/264 or 272/272 cams, i figured the more aggresive cams will help me to reduce spool time
I want to drift the car just for fun but it is also my daily driver and so reliability is key i also want to be as fast as possible in the 1/4 mile I was wondering if you can give me some input as to which route i should take to achieve my goals thanks

Aggressive cams DOES NOT make a turbo spool faster...if anything, it makes turbo engines run less responsive. Itll make more power up top but you will lose low end power.
Personally, get a GT3071R, go topmounted T3 manifold and external wastegate...stop wasting money into a bottom mount T2 flanged manifold. |
