question about circuit sports v2 shifter

a couple weeks ago my circuit sports v2 shifter got sloppy. it's loose in all gears and extremely loose in neutral. It goes into all gears just fine. I took it out today to source the problem, couldn't find anything really, but there is a rubber washer that looks like a firewall grommet chillin in my transmission tunnel, so I'm wondering if there's somewhere this thing needs to be. Does anyone happen to know?

No harm either way, I'm looking at a B&M shifter this week, Just got the circuit sports one because it was free. Just wanted to see if I could fix this first

sounds like my V2, turned out that the plastic piece the shifter pivots on (not the small cup at the bottom) shattered into pieces... not cool. if you havent fully taken apart the shifter mechanism, i bet you thats what happened.

well, i took the four allen screws off the top of the shifter dome thing. I didn't really see anything down there other than the shifter itself pivoted around too much...is completely loose. If there was a plastic thing there it's allll gone.

The shifter bushings that come with cheap shifters are garbage. Spend the 3 bucks on a new one from your local Nissan dealership and call it a day.

Sounds like the only thing circuit sports is good for is the SS overflow tank everyone has, but I even had problems with that. It leaked at the bottom of the clear plastic tube fluid level thingy. It ended up being to short to connect firmly into both ends so I just got some clear tubing and made it a bit longer and now it doesn't leak anymore. At least it was free man!!!

There are few people selling their B&M short shifter. You'd better jump on those or else.
