Super Street mag about 240's was ok but...

I cant believe that they didnt once mention in any of the atricles about being able to do the RB swap. I'm really suprised. I know it's still not ver common but there some running around. One of'em has to be worth an article.

I was somewhat disappointed to see the 145 hot silvia upgrades were nothing but just name and pictures. No reviews or nothing. Im surprised that the fastest S15 is in texas.

Im just glad they listed sites for the parts guides, otherwise I wouldnt have been able to find 1/3 of the stuff.

Remember people are imperfect. Be happy with what you have.

Yea, they didn't mention the CA18DET in SS, and hardly in SCC. I'm glad though. Don't want that becoming known to ricers too

Why would you go and say something like that for? Believe me, Texas is not a stranger to racing, and that stereotype about Stangs, Camaro's and slinging guns is bull.

I know this thread is going to turn into a flame fest, but what the hell...

1. I like my SR20 engine. I don't hear anyone complaining about how Sentra Se-r's suck because they use a SR20DE and not the KA engine. Even with my stock exhaust and stock boost everyone I have taken for a ride has been impressed with the SR20 engine (accept for the occasional police officer and "thickly settled" residents). I am a German car nut but decided to actually try and build a rice rocket after seeing how many 12 second rice burners there are at New England Dragway. I have to admit the 240sx feels smooth cruising at 100+ MPH and overall is a really fun car. All aluminum, coil over plug, turbo motors are kick ***. I'm impressed that the SR20DET engine is late 1980's technology. This is the same technology VW/AUDI finally decided to adopt in the late 1990's with the 1.8T. The SR20DET motor is also pre/non-OBDII so it _should_ be easy to tune.

The only down side to the SR20DET engine that I can see is the price of the clip and parts. And of course the shadyness of certain "tuners".

Can't we all just learn to get along and hate Hondas.

2. I picked up SS for the first time to check out the "Silvia" issue. How lame. I don't like magazines to begin with but a turbo KA, RB, CA, 12 cylider jag, 5 hp Brigs engine or something creative would have been nice. I really wonder how many of the featured cars actually get driven. And ohh my God the only thing worse than SS's articles are the letters that their readers submit. Can't they find something better to print than testimonials from idiots who like to masturbate to SS?

I know of a company who used to advertise with a technology magazine. When the company wanted to pull their ad the magazine offered to do a two page feature article on their product. Magazine's suck, don't believe everything they print.
